Industrial Heating Economic Indicators for July 2003 Continue Decline
Industrial Heating Economic Indicators for July showed a second month of across the board decline for all four indicators. All for indices registered values below 50, indicating a decline in business levels. July 2003 index numbers, released today, reflect the changes experienced in responding companies' business activity from June 2003 to July 2003.
Change in number of Request for Proposals from June to July is 46.9, change in Number of Orders from June to July is 48.5, change in Backlog from June to July is 46.7 and Expected Change in the Health of the Thermal Processing Industry through August is 49.0.
A number above 50.0 indicates increased activity or growth. A number below 50.0 indicates decreased activity or a decline in growth. Look for these numbers, along with historical values, on the editorial page of the next issue of Industrial Heating.
