Otto Junker GmbH, Simmerath, Germany, designed, manufactured, installed and successfully commissioned a new annealing center, consisting of eight furnaces, five cooling chambers (provided by customer) and a charging system to SAM-A Aluminum Co. Ltd., a producer of aluminum foils located of south of Seoul. The entire process took one year to complete. Both final and intermediate annealing runs are performed in the furnaces. In order to ensure maximum availability and process reliability, each furnace is equipped with a separate PLC for temperature control. The furnaces, cooling chambers and charging machine have been dimensional for different load sizes, i.e. single-lane loading (12 tons of Al foil) and double-lane loading (24 tons of Al foil).
