Bricmont Inc., Canonsburg, Pa., has been awarded a contract to supply a 755-ft. long tunnel roller-hearth furnace to heat slabs for the new thin strip production line project at Tonghua Iron & Steel (Group) Ltd., Tonghua, Jilin Province, China. Bricmont will provide engineering materials, procurement and field services for the furnace, scheduled for completion by October 2005. The furnace is the seventh of this type in China designed by Bricmont to process jumbo slab lengths for semi-continuous rolling.
