The VersaPro(tm) proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller for heat-treating applications is designed to work with thermocouples and zirconia-based oxygen sensors. It supports both Marathon and MODBUS(r) protocols for ease of integration with existing systems. Operation is enhanced by an advanced autotune capability. High dynamic range is achieved using 22-bit floating calculations. Two 4-20 mA outputs allow simultaneous control and retransmission of process variables with concurrent display of variables for effortless observation. The unit also includes an integrated soak timer for temperature control applications.
