The HS Series of high temperature box furnaces for processing high speed tool steels is designed for applications from 1500¯F to 2450¯F (816¯C to 1343¯C) with silicon carbide heating elements controlled off the line with an SCR power supply. A built-in aging factor of 200% insures increased element life. The furnace chamber is lined with grades of lightweight ceramic fiber, providing fast heat and quick recovery rates (heat to 2200¯F in 55 minutes). The fiber insulation reduces the power demand to heat the chamber by 70%, which lowers the overall kW requirements and utility costs.
