The CAMSCAN inspection system is an off-line audit inspection system used to detect grinding damage and some heat-treat qualities and to monitor the residual stress from manufacturing processes. The unit requires manual loading and unloading of the test piece, and all of the lobes are scanned automatically. The test information is sent to a ROLLSCAN central unit where it is analyzed and displayed on the monitor. The MC300 control unit is on a cable and provides ease of use for the operator. After testing is complete, the operator can analyze the data and make appropriate process adjustments.
