The 3 micrometer diameter stationary phase has been added to the OmniSpherT C18 Universal Columns. Omnisphere, a universal RPLC (reversed phase liquid chromatography) column is designed for analysis of neutral, polar, acidic, and basic compounds. Both the OmniSper 5 uM and the new 3 uM C18 rely on a new column material, a high purity silica gel composed of spherical particles for the separation of small and medium molecular-weight components. The compounds elute from the column in symmetrical peaks without additives in the mobile phase and maintain increased reproducibility. The new 3 uM material is particularly useful for high-speed separations and LC-MS analysis where high efficiency is critical.
