The multi-cell insertion heaters permit operation at demanding process temperatures up to 2050YêF (1120YêC) due to multiple, independently controllable zones. As many as six zones can be controlled in one heater sheath. Special bending capacities and longer lengths allow for 40 foot reaches to meet unusual machinery needs and keep leads away from heated zones. The heater's radiant design allows loose fit insertion into the platen hole. The heater will not bind or seize in the hole, so it's easily removed or replaced. The oxidized sheath provides high emissivity and improves the heater's performance as oxidation increases. Individual metal sheath coils are swaged into a larger, high temperature alloy outer sheath for maximum protection.
