The Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) has revised Materials Standards for Metal Injection Molded Parts to include new materials and new data on mechanical and magnetic properties. The 18-p standard provides new information generated by testing programs conducted by the Metal Injection Molding Association (MIMA). Data is included on low alloy steels, stainless steels, and a new section on soft magnetic materials.
