The modified A-286 alloy, a lower nickel version of PyrometR Alloy A-286 (UNS S66286), provides corrosion resistance at temperatures up to 1200YêF (649YêC). The yield strength, tensile strength and reduction in area are comparable to the conventional A-286 alloy at operating temperatures of 1000YêF (538YêC) to 1200YêF (649YêC). The second new alloy, NCF 3015 (UNS S66315), is a precipitation hardenable, iron-nickel base alloy that provides effective solutions in operating temperatures of 1200YêF (649YêC) to 1400YêF (760YêC). Fabricating characteristics are similar to those of A-286 alloy, including response of direct aging of cold reduced parts to achieve enhanced mechanical properties.
