WS Reformer GmbH (Renningen, Germany) won the 5000 € award for its FLOX(r) reforming technology.
The awards were announced in Berlin during a dinner hosted by BGW and DVGW, two gas associations in Germany. The awarded is given every two years for excellent achievements for energy saving and increasing energy efficiency. WS Reformer won the award in the category "Excellent achievements in research and development for natural gas applications" for its FLOX steam reformers, designed for on-site hydrogen production. The FLOX reformer technology allows an efficient small-scale production of hydrogen out of natural gas and several other hydrocarbons. Applications are industrial processes, hydrogen fueling stations and fuel cell systems.
