VFS Corp. Sells Two Vacuum Furnaces to Johnson Technology
October 8, 2004
Vacuum Furnace Systems (VFS) Corp. (Souderton, Pa.) sold two vacuum furnaces to Johnson Technology, a manufacturer of turbine engines in Muskegon Mich. The two new external quench systems complement two VFS furnaces purchased in 1999 and an older VFS furnace purchased in 1995, all of which are still in operation. In addition, Johnson Technology ordered a new hot zone with VFS's exclusive GraForm curved graphite heating elements and CompuVac interactive control system to retrofit an existing furnace. The two new furnaces will be used for high temperature brazing of turbine engine stator parts. Delivery of the entire order is expected in December 2004.
