The Axiovert 200 MAT inverted microscope can be used in all areas of materials R&D, quality control and failure analysis. Circular differential interference contrast (C-DIC) uses circularly polarized light. Fine surface structures can be observed with high contrast and resolution simultaneously, independent of orientation without a rotating stage. Enhanced Contrast (EC) objectives offer a level of contrast difficult to achieve using long working distances and high numerical apertures. Using C-DIC in conjunction with EC optics increases contrast with no decrease in resolution.
