No. 842 is a high-temperature, 1250 F (680 C) electrically heated inert atmosphere oven with workspace dimensions of 36 in. wide x 48 in. deep x 36 in. long (914 mm wide x 1219 mm deep x 914 mm long). Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements furnish the heat, while a 1400 cfm, 1 1/4-hp recirculating blower provides front to back horizontal airflow to the workload. The oven has 10 in. (254 mm) insulated walls, aluminized steel exterior and Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, plus three roller rails at the bottom of the workspace to support 2,500 lb (1,136 kg) loads. The oven includes an integral, heavy-duty leg stand.
