The 7000 series of hydraulic Brinell testers uses a load cell to accurately monitor the test force. Load cells provide consistent force measurement, so the testers are not affected by factors such as temperature changes and hydraulic warm-up period. The standard model has a 4 in. hydraulic stroke range, which enables it to adjust to different test sizes of test parts because the elevating screws do not need to be repeatedly repositioned. Using the foot pedal, operators can jog the test head down to precisely position the indenter. When testing same-size parts, the elevating screw can be adjusted for minimum stroke.
