Formtracer(r) CS-Series meas-uring systems determine contour and surface roughness analysis from a single measurement of the workpiece (no need to setup twice), cutting measurement time in half. The systems are available in two configurations and levels of throughput and accuracy: the CS-3000 model is designed for smaller workpieces requiring mid-level accuracy and has a maximum measuring range of 10 mm and a maximum resolution of 0.8 nm. The CS-5000 provides laboratory-level accuracy using a Laser Holoscale(tm) (patent pending) that uses interference of diffracted light to achieve nanometer resolution.
