The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), W. Conshohocken, PA, is seeking participation from all sectors of the steel, nonferrous metals, and alloys fields to produce a specification of basic requirements for alloy precipitation-hardening bolting materials for high temperature service. Steel industry consultants, academians, bolting material producers, and users are invited to develop this specification, which will be based on Standard Specification B 637 for precipitation-hardening nickel alloy bars, forgings, and forging stock for high temperature service.
