Schwarzkopf Technologies LLC (www.stcmetals.com), a Plansee affiliated company, is now stocking Plansee oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) superalloy PM 2000 in its Franklin, Mass. facility. Schwarzkopf Technologies is offering PM 2000 mill products in common sizes specifically for the high-temperature furnace market as a competitive alternative material to currently high-priced molybdenum. PM 2000, with a melting point of 1408ºC (2565ºF), can be used at temperatures to 1300ºC (2375ºF), and offers hot gas corrosion resistance needed in burner nozzles, radiant tubes and rapid gas quench furnaces and resistance to nickel braze run-off in high-temperature brazing operations.
