Effective September 1, 2005, The Belgian Group Cockerill Maintenance and Ingenierie (CMI) acquired the assets of the American company Electric Furnace, including EFCO GmbH, and EF Global Services LLC, collectively named EFCO. CMI ovens and furnace products are currently marketed under the brand name Heurbel. As a new CMI Business Unit, EFCO will change its name to CMI EFCO Inc., which will be integrated within a new Furnace Division of the Steel Engineering Business activity, alongside Heurbel.
