Techint in Germany (http://www.techint-technologies.com) received a contract for the supply of a new 160 t/h FlexyTech® furnace including last-generation burners with low NOx emissions for Georgsmarienhuette. The FlexyTech® furnaces are said to improve performance, optimize temperature distribution and reduce consumption and emissions at all production rates. The other two contracts involve two revamps: one is for the 230 t/h reheating furnace at the ThyssenKrupp Stahl strip mill in Bochum, and the other is for the 170 t/h reheating furnace at Mannesmannrohren Werke pipe mill in Mulheim.
