Ceraboard(r), a refractory ceramic fiber-board product, has a chemical composition of 65% silica and 30% alumina with a low level of organic binder. Maximum temperature rating is 2300 F (1260 C) and the continuous use temperature rating is 2150 F (1180 C). It is available in two grades: Ceraboard-100 and Ceraboard-P. Ceraboard-P is suitable for applications requiring tighter thickness tolerance. It has +/-0.05 in. (+/-1 mm) tolerance for boards with average thickness of 0.50 in. (13 mm) and +/-0.10 in. (+/-2.5 mm) tolerance for boards with average thickness of 1.00 in. (25 mm). Both grades are available in standard sizes of 24 in. x 36 in. and 36 in. x 48 in. (609 x 914 mm and 914 x 1219 mm) in three thickness variations of 0.5, 1 and 2 in. (13, 25 and 50 mm).
