Alcoa Howmet Castings, a unit of Alcoa Inc. in Pittsburgh, Pa., has been awarded contracts by Honeywell International to develop seven components. These new castings will support Honeywell's Thermal Power Management System for the Joint Strike Fighter aircraft. In addition to the Honeywell order, Howmet has also been awarded sole-source contracts with Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for all six of the turbine airfoils in the JSF main engine.
