Ceramabond(tm) 685N is a single part, dispensable, zirconium-based adhesive and sealant system that bonds to galvanized metals, dense ceramics and ceramic cloth, paper and rope products. It offers a maximum temperature resistance to 2500 F (1370 C). Curing is accomplished by air drying for 2-3 hours and then heating gradually to the operating temperature of the assembly or by heating to 200 F (93 C) for 2-3 hours. After curing, the adhesive exhibits a tensile-shear strength of 500 psi (3 MPa), a linear shrinkage of less than 2% and notable chemical, moisture and thermal shock resistance.
