Prime Wheel Corporation Purchases Second Wheel Line From SECO/WARWICK
October 3, 2000
Prime Wheel Corporation, Gardena, CA, has purchased a second fully automated solution heat treat and aging system supplied by SECO/WARWICK Corp., Meadville, PA. The first line, purchased in 1995, produces 120 wheels per hour; the new system will produce an additional 220 wheels per hour. The roller hearth will be direct-fired with natural gas burners. Racks of wheels are heated and held at temperature until complete solutionizing is achieved. The load passes quickly into a water quench tank, followed by a transfer to the aging oven. The load is held at temperature for age hardening of wheels.
