At seven updates a second, the AI-1500 executes automatic self-calibration, internal diagnostics and measurement parameter validation, rapidly compensating for ambient temperature changes, variations in line voltage and fluctuations in internal electrical component characteristics. The unit accepts virtually any thermocouple or RTD, and input linearization is performed to a precision of I0.05¯C from input curves stored in on-board, non-volatile memory. Each transmitter is calibrated using NIST traceable equipment and includes a NIST calibration certificate.
