WS Thermal Process Technology Inc., Elyria, OH, has supplied 32 of its REKUMATR C150 burners with 8" SiSiC radiant tubes to ITAM-Salem, a unit of Techint Technologies, Pittsburgh, PA, for a car bottom furnace supplied to MacSteel in Fort Smith, AR. The furnace is used mainly for spheroidize annealing and operates at temperatures up to 2150¯F (1177¯C). The burners are equipped with "pointed style" recuperators that yield available heat in excess of 75%.
