The Metal Powder Industries Federation (Princeton, N.J.) released the Global Powder Metallurgy Property Database, which provides mechanical and physical properties for ferrous alloys, powder forged steels, stainless steels, nonferrous alloys and bearing alloys. The data provide performance measures under specific test conditions, including typical properties with statistical ranges. Key variations in processing conditions are identified, such as as-sintered, heat treated and several compaction conditions. A graphing function plots results by various properties versus density.
