Boeing Co. (Seattle, Wash.) will sell its Arnprior, Canada operations to Arnprior Aerospace, a unit of Consolidated Industries, Inc., for an undisclosed sum. Consolidated Industries, headquartered in Cheshire, Conn., is a supplier of forgings to Boeing and other large aerospace companies. Boeing's Arnprior site is part of Boeing Canada Technology Ltd. And supplies metal parts and sheet metal sub-assemblies for all Boeing jetliners. The transaction will include a long-term, single-source supply agreement for all parts and assemblies currently produced for Boeing at the Arnprior facility. Arnprior Aerospace plans to extend job offers to roughly 370 employees working at the plant. The transaction is expected to close during the third quarter of 2005.
