Praxair Surface Technologies, Inc., Indianapolis, IN, and its subsidiary, TAFA Incorporated, has expanded two manufacturing facilities to support the growing thermal spray market. The powder production facility in Indianapolis has initiated a $34 million, 48,000 square foot expansion that doubles the atomized powder capacity while consolidating process lines from the Pearland, TX powder plant. The company is also investing $2 million to add over 23,000 square feet of production and office space at the Concord, NH thermal spray equipment plant operated by TAFA.
