NADCA Members Sought as Mentors
September 6, 2000
The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) office of Industrial Technologies (OIT) and the Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS) are teaming up in an effort to motivate students to consider and pursue careers in metal casting and other key industries. One of the programs provided by JETS is a TEAM+S, Test of Engineering Apti-tude, Mathematics and Science, introducing students to a "engineering team" work environment. The competition offers an opportunity for NADCA members to act as mentors to assist students in preparing for the test through plant tours, visits to schools, and answering technical questions.
