The PyrofiberR single axis fiber optic sensor head is designed for measuring precise IR temperature and emissivity values of miniature targets. The rugged steel construction can withstand ambient temperatures to 482¯F (250¯C). Target sizes to 1 mm (0.039") can be measured accurately. The sensor head allows the energy for both the radiance and the emissivity correcting laser return signal to travel on the same axis. As a result, the sensor head's "depth of view" or fixed focus position is not as critical, allowing the user additional compliance when setting up the sensor head not available with other designs.
