As a follow-up to an article published in the May 2000 issue of Industrial Heating ("TiC-Coated Graphite Designed with Properties Tailored to Various Appli-cations," p. 47) it should be noted that the Lanxide Corporation has sold licensing agreements to various companies to process and market their titanium carbide and silicon carbide coatings for graphite parts. Solar Atmospheres, Souderton, PA, is the licensee for industrial applications including furnace applications.
