TinOxi, a melting electrode made of tin oxide, is a suitable electrode material to melt lead-containing glass and specialty glass that require certain transmission properties. The electrodes have an application temperature range to 1650 C (3000 F), and have high electrical conductivity and high corrosion resistance. They are available as rods and blocks with diameters from 50 to 150 mm (2 to 6 in.) and 100 to 500 mm (4 to 19.6 in.) long. Pyrometer tubes and water-cooled pot-connectors are available as accessories.
