Ameritherm Inc. (Rochester, N.Y.; http://www.ameritherm.com), a leader in radio frequency induction heating equipment, acquired substantially all the assets of Cheltenham Induction Heating Ltd. (CIH) of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. CIH will operate as an autonomous subsidiary under its current name as part of the Ameritherm organization. This investment represents a strategic initiative by Ameritherm that expands both companies' applications engineering, service and support capabilities while building upon their combined worldwide sales and marketing resources. The acquisition follows the 2004 opening of Ameritherm Europe, a marketing office based in the Netherlands, and expanded distribution channels in Europe, Asia and the Americas. These resources are augmented by CIH's recent development of strategic relationships in South Africa and Eastern Europe.
