SECO/WARWICK Ltd. Poland (Swiebodzin, Poland; http://www.secowarwick.com.pl) manufactured and shipped a semi-continuous, three-chamber electrically heated CuproBraze® Furnace system to Finland-based Suomen Jaahdytintehdas Oy (SJT). The furnace is scheduled to start production in January 2005. Intended for the brazing of CuproBraze® heat exchangers, the heavy-duty furnace has useful dimensions of 1800 mm (L) by 1500 mm (W) by 400 mm (H) and ensures temperature uniformity of +/-5 C. SECO/WARWICK has utilized a new design with a double in-out operating mode, which enables productivity to increase by 40% compared with previous solutions. The installation comprises two purge/cooling chambers plus a brazing chamber and can automatically braze a variety of heat exchangers including, for example CAC and heavy-duty radiators up to 200 mm core thickness. Control is achieved using SECO/WARWICK's PC/PLC AccuBraze® system.
