METAPLAS IONON
The chromium nitride coatings (CrN) are deposited using the PVD arc process. It was developed especially for processing highly adhesive plastic and elastomer materials, as well as for metal forming of nonferrous metals, light alloys and austenitic steels. The CrN-mod coating excels through its thin cover coating, which is doped with special constituents. These form a glass-like structural with a very low degree of surface energy, properly yielding higher wear resistance surface with a low tendency of sticking.
