(Souderton, Pa.; http://www.vfscorp.com) reported a strong first quarter 2005, booking six orders for vacuum furnace systems destined for a variety of domestic and international destinations including Brazil and Korea. Five of the furnace orders are for VFS's Horizontal External Quench (HEQ) models, with hot zones ranging in size from 24" x 24" x 36" deep to 48" x 36" x 72" deep. One of the orders is for a Horizontal Internal Quench (HIQ) model, with a hot zone size of 36" x 36" x 50" deep. All of the furnaces ordered will be equipped with 2 bar quench systems.
