Changes have been made to the TempCHEK® shrinkage product for monitoring uniformity of kilns and furnaces over a wide firing range. The shape of the product has been changed to improve the ability to measure the product via point-to-point contact. In addition, the size was reduced and packaging was improved to allow for improved shipping and product handling. Three color-coded compositions are now available for use between 850 and 1420°C (1560 to 2590°F). Each batch of TempCHEK® is supplied with instructions and temperature equivalent tables relating firing dimension to temperature.
