The Sentinel-EST is engineered to remotely measure oxygen content for use in the calculation of dewpoint, carbon dioxide, carbon potential, and even oxidation reduction (RedOx) potential. The sensor measures oxygen concentration levels down to parts per million (PPM) and is suitable for annealing, brazing, sintering, endothermic generators, and various forms of carburizing and nitriding. Problems such as thermal shock, continuous calibration requirements, condensation contamination, and the need for separate reference air and/or burn-off panels are eliminated. In addition, the sensor requires neither a reheat well nor penetrations of the refractory or generator wall.
