The entire range of shielding gases is comprised of seven distinct gases for optimal welding across a variety of metals. The Ferromaxx gases are designed for metal inert gas (MIG)/gas metal arc welding (GMAW) of carbon, carbon manganese, and low-alloy steels. The gas can increase manual weld speeds by up to 19 percent compared with conventional 75/25 argon/carbon dioxide (CO2) gas and other mixtures. Other gases in the range are three InomaxxT gases and AlumaxxT Plus.
