The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), Independence, OH, has become the first U.S. trade association to be registered to ISO 9002. Beginning in early 1999, the staff of PMA was divided into 25 teams that reviewed and documented each of their work responsibilities. Teams drafted written procedures for each task, focusing on records that would demonstrate their adherence to these procedures.
