The 4.0 embedded version of the smartEDDY system is designed to be easily integrated into the control system of automated production lines. The PC-based, fully automated, contact- and operator-free systems can achieve 100% inspection of metals and metal parts. Depending on the material being inspected, users are able to select any test frequency up to 25 MHz. The system also has a 5,000 Hz bandwidth, enabling it to make complex "accept/reject" decisions in ~50 microseconds. Tests can be performed as fast as 30,000 ft/min or as high as several thousand parts per second. Typical applications include forged and extruded parts, casting, continuous product, powder metallurgy and heat exchangers.
