Solar Manufacturing is refurbishing a 65,000 square foot building adjacent to Solar Atmospheres' corporate plant in Souderton to develop and test a new breed of rapid quench vacuum furnaces now being manufactured including a new low torr vacuum carburizing furnace.
Solar Manufacturing (Souderton, Pa.; http://www.solarmfg.com) is refurbishing a 65,000 square foot building adjacent to Solar Atmospheres' corporate plant in Souderton to develop and test a new breed of rapid quench vacuum furnaces now being manufactured including a new low torr vacuum carburizing furnace. Upgrades will improve utilities and will add large supplies of N, Ar, He and H. The cost of the upgrade is expected to exceed a half of a million dollars in outside contracts. The building and offices will be completely renovated and shared by Solar Atmospheres heat treating.
