The Weldac G2 solid-state IGBT welder uses the company's IGBT driver technology, allowing IGBT transistors to operate at frequencies up to 350 kHz. The welder is exceptionally small because the rectifier is built in to the cabinet of the converter, making the dc-cable redundant. It is available with output power levels of 150, 200, 250 or 300 kW, with a frequency range of 250 to 350 kHz. The welder can handle a range of tube dimensions from 0.375 to 5 in. OD, all with a two-turn coil design.
