The Vacuum Systems Division of PVA TePla AG has been awarded a Euro 2.6 million contract by the French enterprise AREVA T&D to supply several high-vacuum process systems.

The Vacuum Systems Division of PVA TePla AG (Asslar, Germany; http://www.pvatepla.com) has been awarded a Euro 2.6 million contract by the French enterprise AREVA T&D to supply several high-vacuum process systems. These high-vacuum furnaces with metal heating elements are used to produce eco-friendly, compact and wear-free vacuum switches for the distribution of electrical energy. The operating vacuum is achieved using a high-purity and highly efficient cryo process. In the high-vacuum pumps applied in this process, the gases and vapors emitted by the batch are condensed at temperatures of -250°C.
