LOI Inc. (Pittsburgh, Pa.; http://www.loi.de) received a contract from Allegheny Ludlum for a high-temperature roller-hearth furnace to reheat a wide range of specialty steel plates for rolling at its Washington, Pa. plate facility. The furnace is equipped with LOI recuperative burners, which are pulse-fired to provide fuel efficiency and flexibility over a wide range of product requirements. The furnace will be operational in the first quarter of 2006.
