The company's third generation of high-velocity compaction (HVC) presses for powder metallurgy more economically produce higher density, higher performance parts than conventional powder presses. Densities for conventional powder materials of close to 100% of theoretical density can now be achieved. Approximate compacting forces are 2,000, 900, 350 and 100 metric tons. The 100 metric ton press is intended for research and development. Parts up 5 kg (11 lb) can be compacted, and both compaction and sizing can be performed on the same press.
