A group of local investors formed Thermalcast LLC (Worcester, Mass.; http://www.thermalcast.com), which will provide technically advanced die-cast parts and contract manufacturing for companies worldwide. The investors purchased the assets of the former Kennedy Die Casting, Inc. The new company has hired 135 employees of the former company and will serve many of its customers. Financial terms were not disclosed. Contract (value-added) manufacturing of the new company may include not only die casting, but also assembling, polishing, painting and finishing parts, and managing inventory.
