Enhancements have been made to the Gauge Buster and Gauge Buster Plus materials testing load, stress and load rate indicators for manually operated machines. The indicators are used to measure the compressive and tensile strength of metals, plastics, concrete and other materials. New features include the addition of an optional second channel of displacement input plus several new data analyses. The new analyses include yield by halt of the pointer, load at a specified position, energy and average load rate, which can be used to verify that a test was performed according to specification. Also added is a password protected operator mode to prevent changes to the test setup, plus live RS-232 serial data streaming. The data streaming enables measurements from other equipment to be aligned with the Gauge Buster data in a single file through the use of a data logging program.
