Solar Manufacturing engineered, manufactured and delivered a replacement hot zone to Thermo Techniques.

Solar Manufacturing (Telford, Pa.; http://www.solarmfg.com) engineered, manufactured and delivered a replacement hot zone to Thermo Techniques (Danville, Ill.). The hot zone was designed and upgraded from 0.060 in. graphite foil to a much more durable Flex Shield hot face, which is expected to provide extended hot zone life. Solar Manufacturing also received an order from this company for a replacement horizontal vacuum furnace chamber. It is expected to be delivered for installation in May 2005. In addition, Solar Manufacturing received an order from a customer in the Northeast for a horizontal loading, high-temperature vacuum furnace. The furnace will provide a load size of 82 in. wide by 72 in. high by 192 in. long and a weight capacity of 20,000 lb. Design includes a high efficiency hot zone, two-bar high velocity gas cooling system and control system with interactive graphics screen.
